GREENVILLE, SC FUEL announced today that Greenville-based non-profit Fostering Great Ideas is the first recipient of the FUEL for Good Grant program in 2025. Founded in 2011, Fostering Great Ideas serves 600 children, youth and adults across South Carolina who are impacted by foster care.

The non-profit was selected from a pool of 11 local organizations that applied for the grant during this cycle. The marketing agency’s work will be focused on supporting the organization’s 15th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2025.

“We’ve witnessed the resulting work of the FUEL for Good grant and its impact from previous recipients in the Upstate so knew it was an opportunity that could really help our organization,” said David White, founder and CEO of Fostering Great Ideas. “As we prepare to celebrate our 15th year supporting children in foster care, we’re ready to dig in with FUEL to see how their brand building expertise and storytelling can support our mission.”

Currently, South Carolina has more than 3,200 children in foster care statewide. The services provided by Fostering Great Ideas focus on an individual child’s entire journey through foster care, providing relational support and critical resources to their specific areas of struggle. Children they work with not only survive, but often thrive in foster care and afterwards.

“Selecting a recipient for the grant program is never an easy process for the FUEL team, and this period was no different. There were many incredible applicants but Fostering Great Ideas is entering a pivotal moment for their organization in 2025 with their 15th anniversary right around the corner,” said Mary Church Cornette, FUEL CEO and Head of Creative. “They have an amazing story to tell, and now is the time for them to tell it. The work they’re doing for our community has a real impact on the lives of hundreds of children, and we’re thrilled we get to help them share it with South Carolina.”

The FUEL for Good Grant program began in 2020 and has provided more than $225,000 in pro-bono marketing services to 16 Greenville-based nonprofits, strengthening the local community through strategic creative and marketing support. The grant program, designed specifically for Upstate-based nonprofits without a national affiliation, has seen application rates increase 200% since inception.
