Patrick is FUEL’s videographer and editor extraordinaire. He’s also our movie (especially Star Wars) guru. He’s the man behind the camera, piloting a drone, or creating amazing video content. Here’s a quick interview to learn a little more about our video expert.
1. What do you like most about working at FUEL?
The freedom and trust they give to their employees. As a working parent, I work out of my home 90% of the time, and FUEL trusts me to not only get my work done but also supports and encourages a good work/life balance. That is a rare and beautiful opportunity to have.
2. What are three words to describe working at FUEL?
Hard-working, Fun, and Supportive
3. What drew you to FUEL originally?
I desired to move back to the East Coast and raise my family here, while still pursuing my passions. FUEL was looking for a person with my skill set. It was a match made in heaven!
4. What is your proudest moment at FUEL?
Probably my contribution to winning our Golden ADDY Awards in 2021.
5. How did you first learn about FUEL?
It’s a story right out of a movie, LOL! I had mentioned to my mother-in-law that I was looking to transition back East and get out of “Hollywood.” During a hair appointment (yes, a hair appointment), she mentioned this to her hair stylist. As fate would have it, our President & COO, Meredith, had THE SAME hair stylist, and had recently mentioned that FUEL was looking for someone with my skills. Word of this job opportunity and contact information promptly made its way into my hands. I shot off an email, and the rest, as they say, is history.
6. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Easy! A Paleontologist! I wanted to dig up dinosaur bones! Then, I saw Jurassic Park, and realized that it would be better to “work in the movies” and try and make “real” dinosaurs… because it involves working in air-conditioned environments.
7. If we hooked up your Spotify playlist to the office speaker, what top 3 songs would we hear?
Oh goodness, I don’t have Spotify. If I did, you’d probably hear something with heavy synth, heavy drums, and heavy guitar, with a pinch of a saxophone solo thrown in for flavor.
8. What’s your favorite quote?
You are only as dumb as your smartest friend.
9. Describe your life using a movie title.
It’s A Wonderful Life
10. If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
A Walt Disney World Jungle Cruise Tour Guide.
