For those who don’t know the story behind Main Street’s gem of an independent bookstore, M. Judson, the plot is thick and quintessentially Southern. Three women/bibliophiles with a penchant for wine and book pairings, supper clubs, and handwritten letters, set out to fulfill a deeply personal vision: open the most charming bookstore imaginable, in a location that feels like a gold mine. Fast forward to today, this curated bookstore full of soul (and soul food), complete with overflowing bookshelves and a superb restaurant, has become a cozy, central space for incredible literature and food and beverage to coalesce among Greenvilleans searching for the healing powers of stories.
